- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪If you are looking to have an anterior discectomy and fusion by a competent doctor, Dr. Brent Hisey is it. In April 2013 I had 2 discectomy with fusion and titanium plates installed by Dr. Brent Hisey in Oklahoma City. The results of surgery and recovery have been off the charts. As typical with this type of surgery results can vary and I had little expectation. Hisey was sobering toward my excitement and suggested patience. Months later I can still claim my quality of life increased and pain only discomfort. (It was severe prior.) He is astute, diligent and careful. At surgery he assessed existing nerves and bone. Next, he cleared problematic bone spurs around the nerves, created a smooth location and replaced them unhampered. My condition is adv deg disc disease at only 45. I have refused other surgeons!! To top it off, he takes the lower paying forms of insurance. TY DR! ♥ The wait time for appt is WORTH it!July 30, 2017by Bonnie Bon
